Remembering Our Place in Things

We are merely moving shadows,

and all our busy rushing ends in nothing.

We heap up wealth,

not knowing who will spend it.

And so, Lord, where do I put my hope?

My only hope is in you.

Psalm 39: 6-7

This is a picture of the Carina Nebula. It was taken by a team of astronomers with Hubble’s cameras. It is a 50-light-year-wide view of star birth – and death. Stars always remind me of His majesty!

I don’t think this even needs any commentary or reflection.  He is it.  He is my hope.  I am so small and limited compared to His never ending love, existence, and expansion.   All that is in this world is temporary and worthless.  A good reminder.
